This year for christmasdecoration I really fell in love with the colour white. So I tryed to make this white little fairies for my daughters room. I hope you like them and if someone is interested in crochet them too the pattern is below.
Materials
cotton yarn Wollbutt CAMILLA
tan (brown) for the face
white
yellow (brown / black) for the hair
blu ( brown / black ) for the eyes
silver metallic yarn
crochet 1,25mm + wool needle

polyester fiberfill

Abbreviations
( )         = repeat the instructions in the parentheses the number of times specified
ch(s)    = chain(s)
sc         = single crochet
st(s)     = stitch(es)
inc.      = increase
dec.     = decrease
slst(s)  = slip stitch(es)
cont.    = continue
fl(s)     = front loop(s)
tog.      = together

Head:
Head and body are worked in a continuous spiral.  So you should mark first stitch of each round.
Round 1 : with tan (brown) colour,  make a ring of 6 chs and close it.  (6)
Round 2 : 2 sc in each stitch around.   (12)
Round 3 : inc. 6 sc evenly spaced around: (1sc in next st, 2sc in next st) - 6 times  (18)
 Round 4-8 : 2 sc in each stitch around.   (18)
Embroider the eyes with blue (brown/ black) colour. I put them in round 8 and 3 sts apart .

Then embroider the hair with yellow (brown / black ) colour between round 4 and 6, only on the front of the head.
Cont. rounds:
Round 9: dec 3 sc evenly spaced around  (15)
Round 10: dec 3 sc evenly spaced around  (12)
Round 12: dec 6 sc evenly spaced around : 1 s in each sc tog. (6)
Now stuff the head with polyester fiberfill.
Hat:
Start to crochet a round of sc around the head.
You shoud have a round of 21 sc.

 Round 2 -10: sc in each stitch around

 Turn back to round 1 of the head and make a round of 21 slsts ( 1slst in each sc of round 1 of the head)

Make 1 sc in each slst   (21)
weave in the yarn tail on the inside of the hat

Cont. hat
Round 11: dec 4 sc: make 1 sc in next 6 sts, (make 1sc in 2 st. tog.) 4times , make 1 sc in next 7 sts.   ( 17)

Round 19: dec 5 sc: (make 1sc in 2 st. tog.) 5 times   (5)
Round 20: sc in each stitch around  (5)

For the pompom add  thread of silver metallic yarn  to the wight thread and go on this way:
Round 21: sc in each stitch around  (5)
Round 22 : 2 sc in each stitch around.   (10)
Round 23 : inc. 5 sc evenly spaced around: (1sc in next st, 2sc in next st) - 5 times  (14)
Round 24 : 2 sc in each stitch around.   (15)
Close the pompom:
Put the yarn tail through the needle´s eye and insert the needle through the front loop of each of the 15 stitches around the pompom opening.
 Pull the tail tight to close shoe opening and weave in the yarn tail.

Cont. body:
Body
Remember that the fairy´s head and body are worked in a continuous spiral.
So cont. right from last round of head (6sts in tan colour).

With white colour make an uncounted rnd of slsts.    (6)
Round 1: sc in each st around                    (6)
Round   2 : inc. 2 sc evenly spaced around    (8)
Round   3 : inc. 2 sc evenly spaced around   (10)
Round 4-8: sc in each st around                 (10)
Stuff the body with polyester fiberfill.
To form the legs find the center of the body and devide the body into a left and a right half. Each half is formed by 5 sts.
 Then begin working the left leg:
Round 1:        sc in each st to the body center, skip next 5sts (putting them aside for the right leg), sc in each st to the end of the round     (5)
Round 2: inc . 1 sc  (6)
 Round 3-8 :  sc in each st around   (6)
Foot
Round 9:  inc. 6 sc evenly spaced around: (1sc in next st, 2sc in next st) - 6 times  (12)
Round 10/11 :  sc in each st around
Stuff foot with fiberfill.

Close the foot just like the pompom above:
Put the yarn tail through the needle´s eye and insert the needle through the front loop of each of the 12stitches around the foot opening
Than pull the tail tight to close shoe opening and weave in the yarn tail.

Work the right leg and foot in the same way.

Hand and Arm (make 2)
Work hand with tan (brown)  colour.
Round 1: make a ring of 5 chs and close it.  (5)
Round 2: inc.  5 sc evenly spaced around: 2sc in each ch.   (10)
Round 3 : inc. 5 sc evenly spaced around: (1sc in next st tog ) 5 times    ( 5 )
Round 4-8 :  sc in each st around     (5)
close the arm like the pompom and the foot above.
Work right arm and hand in the same way.

Then sew the arms to the fairy´s body.
Finally rouge the fairy´s cheeks with some blush. To fix the blush I usually spray some hair spray on it.

Let me please know what do you all hink about the snow fairies !!
Love
Katja

    1. Danke Michaela! Eigentlich dauert es gar nicht so lange, die kleinen Feen zu häkeln. Für eine musst du so ungefähr 3-4 Stunden rechnen. Viel Spass, falls du versuchst, sie nachzuarbeiten.
      Liebe Grüße
